Seagrass rehabilitation involves returning seagrass to an area where it previously existed. Seagrass rehabilitation may be required as part of environmental approval for development proposals where seagrass loss is unavoidable. A ‘how-to’ guide on transplanting Posidonia seagrass in temperate Western Australian waters has been jointly produced by BMT Oceanica, Bastyan & Associates and Murdoch University Marine and Freshwater Research Laboratory to enable this valuable information to be shared with other seagrass managers and researchers.
